The primary school children on the Isles of Scilly will be staging an puppet-based "Animal Earth Summit" during the Isles of Scilly Earth Summit (3 - 4 October, 2009).  The children will be encouraged to express why they think the environment is worth protecting, via their animal puppets, with the help of Mary Walker from the Pandora's Daughter puppet and story-telling company.

Pandora’s Daughter tour theatres, schools, libraries and art galleries and spark off innovative and creative projects with children, on themes as diverse as world mythology, human rights, festivals, evolution and the environment.

With the help of workshops and performances over several days, Pandora's Daughter will help the primary school children on the Isles of Scilly to use their creativity whilst developing their speaking and listening skills. The children will give performances of their Animal Earth Summit during the Isles of Scilly Earth Summit.
